Railroad Workers

Those working on the railroad were exposed to asbestos both through train and locomotive components as well as insulation in the rail houses. In addition to asbestos ties on the railroad itself, train components that often contained asbestos include gaskets, cement, floor tiles, brakes, clutches, and other materials.
