Mesothelioma is a devastating cancer of the lining of the lung, the lining of the abdomen, and in rare cases the lining of the heart muscle. It is almost always a terminal disease. Generally, it takes anywhere from 9 months, to two years for the victim to succumb to the disease, and during the process, there is a great deal of pain and anguish not just for the victim but for the entire family.
